Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon: The Story
Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon begins by reacquaintening us with a hapless 14 year old girl named Usagi Tsukino. She is idol-crazed, a little clumsy, and friendly. What she lacks in academic skill and studious nature she makes up for in her joyful acceptance of others and warm smile. She lives her carefree life day in and day out, until she encounters an unusual stuffed cat, and Usagi's life is turned upside down.
This toy cat, named Luna, can move and speak, and as if that weren't enough for Usagi to handle, Luna explains that Usagi is really an ally of justice, the legendary sailor soldier Sailor Moon! Sailor Moon's mission: to protect a mysterious lost Moon Princess and recover her powerful inheritance, the Maboroshi no Ginzuishou. Fate, it seems, has brought the unusual pair together, as well as chosen an unlikely heroine.

Reality sinks in when Usagi learns of Sailor Moon's enemy, the ominious Dark Kingdom, led by Queen Beryl who is determined to revive an unusual being of unknown power, Queen Metaria. Serving below the evil queen are her Shitennou, sworn to protect the Dark Kingdom and claim victory for its Queen. Their goal, like Sailor Moon's, is to obtain the Ginzuishou. Their desire is a much more sinister one, however, as they need the Crystal to revive their master, Queen Metaria and claim the Earth as their own. The task at hand proves to be a difficult one, and the Shitennou are often left to simply dispatch their lowest servants, the Youma, to gather energy and create havoc - but Sailor Moon is always there to stop them!
Usagi's troubles seem to relieved a bit when she discovers that she is not alone in the fight for peace! Girls she encounters by fate; the shy genious Ami Mizuno, beautiful and mysterious Rei Hino, and the athletic tomboy Makoto Kino, turn out to be Usagi's allies, each Sailor Soldiers too! As Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, and Sailor Jupiter join the battle, things are looking up for the rookie soldier! Even better for Usagi, a mysterious and handsome jewel thief who calls himself Tuxedo Mask, is always ready and willing to rescue Sailor Moon in her time of need! Just who is this masked man?

But there's yet another piece of the puzzle: Sailor V! She is a beautiful and deft girl, but also a jewel thief! She clashes with Tuxedo Mask more than once, and has her share of run-ins with Sailor Moon and friends. She identifies herself as a Sailor soldier; is there more to her than it seems? Is she the Moon Princess they are searching for? Ally or enemy, Sailor V's presence is undeniable, and her enigma even more unusual.
Despite the craziness of their double lives, the sailor soldiers continue their day-to-day lives, although they too are far from normal! Usagi keeps running into an obnoxious high school student named Mamoru Chiba, who she simply cannot stand. But despite her best efforts to avoid him, and however unlikely the circumstance, she is constantly finding herself encountering him, much to her dismay. Could it, again, be fate at work?
