Introduction

Shin - Densetsu Kourin, Beginning of The New Legend, was the 1998 Summer Special Musical. It followed directly after the First Stage's graduation, and welcomed Fumina Hara as Sailor Moon. The plot is a new take on that of Eien Densetsu, but includes the revival of the Amaazon Trio to aid Queen Beryl. Several songs from both the SuperS musical and Eien Densetsu are re-used, but a select few new songs were composed for this musical. This is also one of the few musicals that does not have a Kaiteiban.

Shin - Densetsu Kourin ran from 7/10/1998 to 8/31/1998. It was performed in five different theatres, including: Sunshine Theatre in Tokyo, Okayama Shimin Kaikan in Okayama, Shin Kobe Oriental Theatre in Kobe, Hiroshimaken Bin Chokin Hall in Hiroshima, and Aichi Kouseinenkin Kaikan in Nagoya.
