Introduction
Mugen Gakuen ~ Mistress Labyrinth was heavily based upon the Infinity Arc of the Sailor Moon manga, as well as the anime's S series. Mugen Gakuen of course means "Infinity Academy" which was the school that Infinity/S's plot revolved around. Although there were other musicals based on this story, and there was one named after the S anime, this was the first to actually closely follow the story and include the Witches 5. It separates itself from its source material by the addition of the Hoshino family, heralding from the planet Grimm which had already been destroyed by the Death Busters. This was the 2002 Summer Special Musical and ran intermittently from July 21, 2002 to September 1st, 2002 and was performed in ten different theatres, including Toda Shi Bunka Kaikan in Saitama, Sendai Shiminkaikan in Sendai, Sunshine Theatre in Tokyo, Shin Kobe Oriental Theatre in Kobe, Okayama Shimin Kaikan in Okayama, Fukuoka Shimin Kaikan in Fukuoka, Nagasakishi Koukaidou in Nagasaki, Aichi Kouseinenkin Kaikan in Aichi, Act City Hamamatsu in Hamamatsu, and Yokohama Shi Shimin Bunka Kaikan Kannai Hall in Yokohama.
