Character Information: Haruna Sakurada (Anime)
Haruna Sakurada, called Haruna-sensei by her students, first appeared in episode 01 and was an 8th grade teacher when the story began. She appears throughout the Classic and R series of Sailor Moon. She is young and rather attractive for a teacher. She acts as instructor for one of Usagi's classes and is constantly fed up with Usagi's tardiness, often making her stand out in the hall for punishment.
Haruna appears to be a little bit unstable and has a short temper. She loves going on dates and does so many times in the series. She also seems to have a desire to get married.
Just like almost every other minor Sailor Moon character, Haruna is targeted by the enemy more than once, and most often, by Jadeite. She falls for both his Midnight Zero and Este-Salon Shapely schemes, in episodes 03 and 04 respectively. She later has her energy stolen while witnessing Nephrite's wedding dress contest in episode 16, and then falls for his model search ploy in episode 17. Being a teacher also leads her to inadvertantly endanger and involve her students in the Dark Kingdom's efforts. She makes several appearances in Classic Sailor Moon but is not a victim in all of them.
Haruna is also targeted by Ail and En in episode 51 of Sailor Moon R. Her energy is drained by the Cardian Reci, who attacks Haruna while she was on a Hanami outing with her students.
